Fillers

As the face ages, we often lose volume, which can affect our overall appearance. Fillers provide an effective solution in this situation by adding extra volume, restoring a more youthful look.

However, fillers are not limited to anti-aging applications. They are also popular among a younger audience for enhancing cheekbones, creating fuller lips, sculpting a sharper jawline, subtle nose corrections, and other aesthetic improvements.

At Doctor Contour Clinic, led by Dr. Kim Detollenaere, we offer personalized filler treatments tailored to your unique desires and features.

How do fillers work?

Many patients initially think that all injectable products are similar. However, fillers, wrinkle treatments, and fat-dissolving injections have different mechanisms of action. They can, however, be used synergistically for more comprehensive improvements. Most fillers contain an active ingredient, hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that helps hydrate the skin.

As the skin ages, it loses its ability to retain moisture. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers revitalize the skin by restoring this lost volume, resulting in a smoother, younger-looking complexion.

The selection of fillers at Doctor Contour Clinic allows Dr. Detollenaere to choose the products that best align with each patient’s individual goals.

We offer fillers specially designed for:

  • Lip enhancement
  • Wrinkle reduction
  • Restoring volume loss
  • Minimizing dark circles and hollows under the eyes
  • Chin enhancement
  • Cheek enhancement
  • Jawline tightening

We can also combine various fillers for a “liquid facelift” that reshapes the face for a more youthful appearance.

Types of Fillers at Doctor Contour Clinic:

  1. Lips
  2. Nose
  3. Cheekbones
  4. Jawline
  5. Chin
  6. Tear Trough
  7. Liquid Facelift
  8. Profhilo
  9. Hyaluronidase (dissolving incorrect filler)

Important Note:

Fillers are specifically formulated for different applications. For example, a tear trough filler is not suitable for use in the lips, and vice versa. Each area requires a specific filler designed for that particular region. Some fillers have a higher degree of cross-linking or a greater ability to retain moisture. The doctor, based on their expertise and experience, chooses the most suitable filler for the area to be treated.

Pre- and post-care for fillers

Swelling after a treatment on the lips, nose, or tear trough can last longer than in other areas. If symptoms persist or other reactions occur, it is advisable to contact Doctor Contour Clinic.

FAQ

  1. Avoiding Permanent Fillers:
Permanent fillers can lead to complications such as hardening, abscesses, and inflammation. In some cases, they cannot be removed, making them a risky choice.

After your treatment, it’s recommended to cool the treated area with “Ice Packs.” Alternate these packs every 10 minutes, but do not place them directly on the skin. Avoid strenuous activities for 24 hours and prevent exposure to intense heat, such as visiting a tanning bed or sauna.

  2. Calm
Try to avoid pressure on the treated areas during the first nights following the treatment. If possible, sleep on your back. For pain relief, you can take paracetamol, but always follow your doctor’s advice.
