Course of a PRP Treatment.
During the treatment, a blood sample is taken from the patient and placed in a centrifuge. The centrifugation process separates the red blood cells from the white blood cells, isolating the “liquid gold” or PRP, which is rich in growth factors. The doctor collects the PRP and injects it into the areas where the patient desires hair improvement.
Note! We strongly recommend taking an immune booster at least 1 month prior to the treatment.
Mechanism of Action of a PRP Treatment
The growth factors in platelet-rich plasma stimulate hair cells, leading to accelerated wound healing and the production of collagen and elastin. This process starts with a standard blood draw, followed by centrifugation and filtering to obtain the plasma. This plasma is then injected into areas where skin improvement is desired or in cases of hair loss where regrowth is desired.
