What Can a Nose Filler Treatment Improve?

Required Amount of Nose Filler:

The amount of nose filler required varies from person to person, but in most cases, a single treatment with 1 ml of filler is sufficient for a aesthetically pleasing result. Our clinic uses a standard 1 ml syringe, and no more than 1 ml is used in the initial session. A follow-up appointment is scheduled after two weeks to evaluate the results and determine if additional filler is necessary.

Is the Treatment Painful?

The nose filler procedure is generally experienced as comfortable. The filler contains an anesthetic, and if a cannula is used, a local anesthetic is administered.

Procedure of a Nose Filler Treatment:

Upon arrival at Doctor Contour Clinic, you will be asked to sign an informed consent form. You will then discuss your wishes and the available options with Dr. Kim Detollenaere. If necessary, a small amount of local anesthetic will be injected before the cannula is inserted.

Possible Side Effects and Risks of Nasal Fillers:

Side effects may include bruising, swelling, asymmetry, rare infections, blood vessel obstruction (necrosis), and in very rare cases, blindness. Our clinic is equipped with hyaluronidase, a drug that can dissolve the filler, to treat certain complications.

Aftercare after a Nose Filler Treatment:

After the treatment, ice can be applied to reduce any pain and swelling. Further recommendations include avoiding makeup for four hours, strenuous physical activity on the day of the treatment, certain facial products for 24 hours, and saunas and hot yoga for one week.

What to Expect After a Nose Filler Treatment?

The results are usually visible immediately, but some bruising, redness, and swelling may occur. Most swelling disappears within 2-3 days, but the final result can be visible up to 4 weeks after the treatment.
