Before the treatment, photos of your lips will be taken, and your expectations will be thoroughly discussed. A numbing cream will be applied to ensure comfort during the treatment. Dr. Kim Detollenaere will carefully inject the fillers with a fine needle. After the injections, your lips can be gently massaged to evenly distribute the filler. If necessary, a cold compress can be applied to your lips to reduce any swelling. The total treatment time is usually no more than 30 minutes.
Dr. Kim Detollenaere analyzes your facial structure to determine the right amount of filler for your specific situation. We often start with an initial injection of 1 ml of filler, and additional treatments can be scheduled if necessary. The cost of 1 ml of filler is €280.
After the treatment, you can expect some redness and swelling. The upper lip usually swells slightly more than the lower lip. This swelling usually lasts for about 48 hours.
